A start back to it
Wednesday spent on a MGF Panther 143 for a head gasket replacement. Nice to meet Glen at a distance and very briefly! Left on our own in a workshop for the morning.
Thursday spent on Stephens’ TF 160 in Chesterfield, for his annual pre MOT check and a few other niggles, some of which he wasn’t aware of, the engine bay fan was coming on on start up, so on code reading it was down to the ECU temperature sensor being faulty, so this was replaced with a new one. All other niggles resolved. Didn’t see Stephen at all, keys left for us.
Then today’s call was in Skipton, and lovely to meet Steve and Rebecca, both again at a great distance.
Steve had brought the car over from Ireland with him, having bought it from Aberdeen. There was very little service history with this very tidy TF 135, so he wanted peace of mind that it would be a sound car to enjoy. Head gasket and cambelt service carried out. The car had not been touched since leaving the factory and was in such great condition and with very low mileage.
Social distancing observed in all regards, no stops to or from our locations. Cars and keys disinfected and payments made by BT. So, a positive start, but being very mindful of keeping safe!
