Great to meet Richard today in Levenshulme, Manchester and his fab looking MGF 143 in Tahiti.
Richard had replaced the head gasket twice, but unfortunately it was still overheating. After he had tried multiple new caps, which turned out to be the ones without the dimple in the middle,
that have proven to be faulty.
Combined with the radiator still needing bleeding and the return valve from the inlet manifold being blocked, which caused another air lock in the head, all of these were sorted out and it was running sweet as a nut. A nice inexpensive fix and a great result for Richard.

It seems an age ago that we first planned to visit Bob, we finally made it over to Beeford this morning and great to meet him and his lovely wife. Bob had been experiencing a slight loss of coolant from his very tidy TF135. After a comprehensive inspection and subsequent diagnosis, Bob wanted to see how things go over the summer months (once we’re all fully able to get back out again properly) keeping an eye on things and then report back. Great to meet you both and have a chat.
Busy afternoon again and am really pleased to have got so many of you booked in over the coming weeks/months for everything ‘doable in a day’ with regards to travel.
Looking forward to the hospitality industry getting back on their feet again, massive good luck to them.
Very hard times in so many ways.
Again, thank you all for your understanding and patience.

Another one today that was postponed at the beginning of lockdown, so it was a local call to Doncaster and great to meet Pete, finally for work on his lovely looking TF 135. The head gasket had gone and Pete wanted the cambelt service carrying out at the same time.
Many of the bolts were very corroded, including the engine mount bolt, which was a beast to get out and the cover bolts, these were all replaced. The bottom crank pulley was also extremely corroded, with the rubber damper also disintegrating, so this was replaced. The top bolt on the inlet manifold support arm sheared off, this was drilled and rethreaded.
Everything back up and running again nicely, and all sorted ready for their trip later in the year, all being well!
