Mobile MG Rover Repair Service

Made it through to Friday and are pleased to have accomplished what we set out to do over the last four days in the workshop…

The list of things to do on Andy’s MGF VVC commenced on Tuesday. This fab car in Old English White (NNX) had been stood for some time and was looking a bit sorry for itself when we saw her a few months ago for assessment. We collected her last week and were pleased to get everything back to rights to get her on the road again and be enjoyed as she should be.

Full cambelt service, discs and pads all round, replacement caliper on the front, various suspension components replaced, full hydragas fill, underseal etc and finally the MOT today.

She was a tad full of leaves and spiders webs etc., so we gave her a bit of a wash and brush up. Now all ready for collection, to be driven back home to Solihull. Andy’s next plan is for the bodywork to be done.

Ian came over from Goole and dropped off his MGF VVC in Wedgewood (JBH) on Monday evening for minor service, health check and MOT. All ready for collection this evening.

Geoff’s wife, Steph, and their son came over in their TF 135 (in CMU) from Reedness, for a health check and MOT on Wednesday morning, which they had bought from Trophy cars a year ago.

Keith and Gail drove over from Micklefield on Wednesday to drop off their recent purchase, a TF 160 (in LEF), that has been fitted out with a full RPS body kit.

We’d looked after their previous TF so it was nice be asked to give this a once over, with a health check and full underfloor treatment carried out. The car has been well admired while it’s been in with us. We look forward to seeing them in the morning for collection.

John came over from Selby today in his TF 160 (1 of 1!) to collect a CAT we had ordered in for him for his ZT and to sort the window mechanism motor while he was there. Lovely to have a catch-up with John as always.

We finally had the lift installed and running this week by some absolutely brilliant people that have moved into one of the other new units further along. What a relief, it’s amazing what you miss!

Again, great week, great people and their fab cars and some sunshine thrown in too! ☀️

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you have a great weekend. – https://ift.tt/Cqmwh4a
