Bit of a dismal morning when we set off, but the sun shone all morning in Rowley Regis, good to meet Geoff for work on his TF135.
Head gasket and cambelt service carried out. His garage had already done a sniff test on the coolant, which had turned out positive for exhaust gases, the ECU had a code for a misfire in cylinder 2 and when we took the head off it was found that cylinder 2 was cleaner than the other three. Just as good measure also, because there was lots of evidence of K-seal having been used previously, we changed the thermostat and housing. This was absolutely gummed up in the stuff! Car back up and running again nicely.
We popped in, on the way home, to have a cuppa and catch-up with Leanne, Neil and Phoebe. Great to see you all, your Birthday pressie is stunning Leanne!

We left our amazing accommodation this morning in Broomhill, bidding farewell to Kevin, on our last day of the Northumberland trip, to go on to Jarrow.
Great to see George again who needed some welding done to his TF160. A couple of holes done on either sill. We had fitted a soft ride kit when there previously, but albeit the suspension was sorted it was riding too high for him, so we fitted a set of lowering springs. Date organised to fit new carpets and seats. Thanks for the cuppas George. The skate park is really looking fab, lots of hard work paying off!
We just want to say a huge thank you to Kevin for your fantastic hospitality, and your kind offer of giving us a base to work from, in order to get to everyone in the north east where normally we would have had to rely upon hotel/B&B accommodation.
