Mobile MG Rover Repair Service

On our way back home now after a day spent in Bedford.

Great to see Daniel again for some work on his MGF mpi. Full cambelt service carried out, fuel pump sender unit was damaged so this was replaced with another. When it came to bleeding the system there was no return to the expansion tank, so jiggle valves removed. When removing the one in the plastic inlet manifold the brass fitting was loose and had come out of the mounting. So we replaced this with a complete aluminum one. Out of the 7 bolts holding the plastic manifold in, there were only the top 3 that were in place, all 4 of the lower studs were missing altogether. Cam cover gasket replaced as had substantial oil leak. Quite a few missing and incorrect bolts and parts all replaced, with some other niggles sorted. One of those everything out the van days, it’s great getting things back to rights. Oh and squirrel evicted too!

Lovely to meet Kathryn finally (after working on her MGBGT earlier in the year), she had bought herself a TF just recently and wanted us to give it a check over. Couple of things noted to be sorted, but all in all she’s got herself a cracking deal!

Really good day in lovely company and fab weather. On our way back home now up the A1.
