Early start at the workshop this morning to get cracking with Steve’s Trophy.
Steve had been experiencing problems with the car burning oil, it was found to be one cylinder that was badly coked up.
Jon carried on with removing the bottom end and replaced a liner and the piston rings in cylinder number 3. Stem seals were also replaced in the head.
Lovely to have a visit from one of my old colleagues from Arco, great to see Alex and meet David and have a catch-up. Her fab MGF was a bit on the low side so needed a fill up. Great to hear from her later to say that the ride was a bit comfier.
I did scive off for a couple of hours to enjoy a long walk and long awaited catch-up with my children, Lottie and James. Sorry Jon for abandoning you!
